Most tubing shrinks to a half or a third of its size. This one shrinks to a quarter. That matters when the tube has to slide over something bulky, a plug or a lug, and still close tight on the thin cable behind it.

It is dual-wall: a tough outer tube with a hot-melt glue lining that flows as it shrinks and seals the joint against water. We make it as an automotive grade tube and rate it flame retardant. The 14 ft kit holds 12, 16 and 24 mm tubes; the 26 ft kit holds 4, 6 and 8 mm.

What it will not do

  • The thick wall makes it stiffer than 2:1 tubing, so it is not for a joint that must flex.
  • A small heat gun takes a while on the 24 mm size.
