If you are starting from nothing, this is the kit. The crimper squeezes a ferrule from six sides into a hexagon, which is the shape a spring terminal grips best. Its jaws take ferrules from 28 AWG up to 5 AWG.
The case holds 1,700 insulated ferrules in seven sizes, sorted by compartment. The small sizes run out first on control panel work, and refill packs of 1,000 are in the same department.
What it will not do
The crimper is for ferrules. It will not crimp battery lugs or insulated spade terminals.
Sizes above 5 AWG are not in the case.

Good value kit. The crimping tool works well. The rather flimsy case is effectively overflowing with connectors (and the tool). Ferrule quality seems good. The tool has a handy self locking and unlocking mechanism but I cannot operate it consistently nor discover exactly how it engages.
